Any Good tutorials about finding bandwidth?

Hello, I was reading the demo version of Reamix and found a section about finding bandwidth of each instrument, thats just what I need. I don't have the money to purchase Reamix unfortunately and wanted to know if you happen to have any good tutorials on this in your bookmarks... I'm having a lot of masking going on and really am missing something in the concept and need some help. EDIT: Guess you could call it the "sweet spot" like the video below: Thank you in advance, Rob Rokken

Check out this guide/picture: That came from this article on EQ: There are more tutorials on using EQ and other effects, as well as mixing, miking, and just about everything else related to recording/mixing, etc. here: Definitely a handy reference to keep at your finger tips. :)

...just remember that those frequency ranges are for the fundementals, the meodic notes only, the harmonics will extend upwards and depend on the instrument... >

I haven't really used the ReaFIR plug-in, but shouldn't that be able to show the OP the spectrum used?
