Searched for this but came up empty..... In the last week or so, waveforms have been going AWOL from the edit window. The sound is there, no prob, but I can't see it. Seems to be random; occasionally, moving the region to a different track, quitting, restarting, moving it back, quitting, restarting, and re-opening will cause a return, but I have yet to establish a real pattern here. Has anyone else experienced this or am I looking at a big ol' re-install? thanks- Lucien Down There Records
Check that some of your tracks aren't in Block display mode (when some others are set to waveform, that would explain why you're getting this on some tracks, not all...). Just a thought...
Yes, I have the same problem, and don't know how to fix it. They are like empty tracks (visually) but the audio is there, impossible to edit that way?? It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. sometimes a reboot will help the waveforms come back. I will be watching this post closely!!
Lucien2, I posted the exact same query a few months back. I get this problem when I've done some sort of processing on the region - gain adjust, reverse, consolidate etc. I hadn't tried Bastiaan's suggestion, though... must remember to give that a go. Adrian
I remember getting this when I normalized a particularly long guitar track. It was even wierder because only 1 side of the stereo track had the prob. It happened when I selected a whole bunch of stuff to normalize together. I just selected it on it's own and the problem went away. I think I may deleted and then redragged the region to the edit window also.
