4:3 Fullscreen - Am I Going Crazy?

The first DVD i ripped with DVD2SVCD was Toystory. The source was 16:9 and the output was cropped fullscreen 4:3. I didn't change any settings and I'm trying to get the same results with other DVDs. I think I may have been using an older build at the time. I think there was an extra option in the Aspect Ratio pull-down menu. I also saw mention of an extra option being available in "Advanced Mode". Can anyone tell me more about this? I got the best results on my first ever rip when I was even more clueless than now  Thanks for the excellent forum :)

A search could have answered this question easily, as could the newbie/advanced guides. DVD2SVCD attempts to select the proper aspect ratio on the DVD source you are converting. If you know the source, however, you should go ahead and select the option manually in the conversion tab. Setting DVD2SVCD to Advanced level in the Misc tab will allow pure 16:9 Anamorphic conversion. It is likely that you did not do this, and hence your problem. Also, please read the Q&A and how to post a good question stickies. A log should have been posted with this topic as well.

@ vcdude: Check whether Toy Story, Region 4, has both Widescreen and Pan and Scan versions on the same side of disc. If yes, D2S had picked the P+S version automatically. If you know the "X" disc has both versions and D2S picks the one you don't want (thank you preview window :) ), you have to select the ifo manually. It doesn't solve your problem, but it may solve the mystery (?). Otherwise, you have to edit the avisynth script. There wasn't an automated P+S (cropped) option, as far as I remember.
