You don't have to delete your current OS in order to re-use OS 9. Just partition one of your drives, and load OS 9 to one of the un-used partitions. This way you can test the system without a major overhaul. Shouldn't take you more than 1/2 hour to load, and test the system. Good Luck.

IMHO as an ex Mbox owner, the USB is the source of your troubles. you went from a 001 with PCI to an incredibly slow USB connection. even my G4 800 w/ 2MB backside cache wouldn't cut your session. great box, wish it was firewire. USB is not a fat enough pipe. (just what i noticed)
