Problems using Reason Adapted

Hi everyone, I am a Pro Tools beginner and am currently experiencing problems with my Reason Adapted plug in. My MIDI keyboard seems to be triggering the application, because when I play a note it triggers the redrum bass drum for example. However, nothing from redrum or anything is being indicated on the mixer in Reason... I have done as follows so far: Created a Aux track in PT and set up the Reason plug-in, with output as Mix L. Created a MIDI track in PT and set the output to the specific Reason channel, eg redrum. The MIDI track is recieving data, indeed I can record MIDI data onto it and view it in the edit window, but nothing is coming up for the Aux track. If I have done anything wrong please let me know, otherwise please HELP!! Many Thanks in anticipation

Well you should have more than just "Mix L". You should have "Mix L & R". It should be a stereo pair coming from Reason Adapted to PT via ReWire. But if might be something in Reason Adapted not working correctly. Have you opened up any demo sessions in Reason Adapted to test it? If you audition the individual drum samples in ReDrum do you hear anything?

I dont have the Mix L&R option in the rewire plug in output, just either or, and then a list of 62 other channels. I do hear the individual redrum sounds, as well as the loop previews in the loop player. This problem only seems to be with the redrum bit, the samplers work just fine. Oh, my other problem is that I can't find SampleTank in my plug-ins menu.

RE: Problems using Reason Adapted

Sometimes I've had to click on the ReDrum track in the REason Adapted sequencer in order to trigger it via midi. When you click on it, you'll notice a midi plug icon on that track, and it should show some activity when you're playing a key on the keyboard.

Redrum is mapped to (I believe) starting at C2 for the first drum channel... If you plunk on your keyboard before or after those 10 keys you will see activity - that is to say the mute buttons light up for the instrument the note corresponds to in each octave but you'll only hear the sounds if in that 10 key range starting at C2 maybe that's what's happenning -
