Here's what I've got. It's about 3 weeks out of it's box Machine Name: iMac Machine Model: iMac4,1 Processor Name: Intel Core Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per processor): 2 MB Memory: 512 MB Bus Speed: 667 MHz Boot ROM Version: IM41.0039.B00 SMC Version: 1.1f5 I have an original MBOX I downloaded PTLE 7.1.1 At first the DAE just would not launch then just as suddenly it would! it worked for about 2 weeks. I have recorded one 3 minute song (Acoustic guitar,Voice, one RTAS plug-in). While in playback I lost all audio then an error message: CPU usage is holding of USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine dialog. (-9136)" Been there done that, still no audio.Trashed the prefs, repaired permissions, gone through the whole troubleshooting shootin' match.Still no audio.Uninstalled and re-installed and now the DAE does not launch with PT. With PT running if I go to the digi folder and click the digi core audio manager it's status is "not connected (HW in use)" and it will not connect. if I open up Itunes for example it does pop up and if I crank the volume up to "11" I can just about hear something. I don't know what else to do.Here's some more Techy info.... USB Bus: Host Controller Location: Built In USB Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBUHCI PCI Device ID: 0x27c8 PCI Revision ID: 0x0002 PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086 Bus Number: 0x1d Mbox USB Audio Device copyright Digidesign 2001: Version: 0.20 Bus Power (mA): 500 Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Digidesign Inc Product ID: 0x1000 Vendor ID: 0x0dba

I don't know if this is anything but the USB light on my MBOX is on.

downloaded 7.1.1 again.got my audio back for 1 minute then error message "CPU usage is holding off USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine dialog. (-9136)" Changing buffer size etc worked for about 30 seconds.WTF is going on!!!? Is it because i'm running 10.4.8 ? could that be it?

RE: DAE HELL!!! Please Help Me I\'m close to tears.

See this Answerbase item from a Support search for the error number: 9136 The first thing that comes to mind is that you have not mentioned what kind of external drive you are using for recording. If you are not using a separate recording drive, that's most likely the problem. I doubt that OS X 10.4.8 is the problem, although I can't say for sure. Check out the rest of the basic compatibility information in the Support section:
