Okay I'm not sure this is the correct forum but here goes .... I would like to convert my Divx movies to Svcd in order that I can then play them on my Dvd player. 1. Is this possible ? 2. If this is possible, what software is required ?. Many Thanks Les
It is possible, and, not to sound too rude, if you had read the Guides section, you would have found that there is something that is called DVD2SVCD, which can be easily turned into AVI2SVCD and which will take care of your problem. take care
@aleksander Yes it is a bit rude and a simple yes and a pointer in the right direction would have sufficed !!. In my defence that is why I asked the question in this section !! I have a copy of Dvd2Svcd and currently use it to rip Dvd's, I'm very new to this and assumed that this is all that the s/ware does. I have looked at the guides and could not find the relevant guide. But no matter perhaps we will all become experts like you, someday and understand what all the relevant formats are, Avi, Mpeg etc .... Regards Les
AVI to (S)VCD conversion guide - how to turn an AVI into a VCD/SVCD (full guide) What he is saying is that: If you would have looked in the guides section you would have found the above guide. If you would have read the dvd2svcd guide (there are many different ones) you would have seen that you can pick either dvd or avi input. If you would have searched the forum (using the search function) you would have found that 2 or 3 times that same question has been asked. If you would have read the sticky in the DVD2SVCD fourm you would have found the following: Q62: My converted DivX/AVI files show up wrong (stretched/squeezed) on TV. What's wrong with the AVI2SVCD feature? (May not be exactly what you asked, but shows that it is possible to do) So even though he said it might sound rude, he was trying to get you to help yourself and learn something in the process. By doing this you will become the "expert" and can help others. Mac
@Lestronics When registering to this forum, you have agreed with some rules. And you seem to have broken few of them. @Mac Sidewinder Well said dude !!:D take care
