MIDI and TCP: move ONLY 0 and 90 degrees

I'm using keyboard to move notes vertically, up and down keys. ctrl+up or down for one octave move. Works on any selection. Same can be done with items across tracks. My keymap setting: Num 2 - Item edit: Move items down one track Num 8 - Item edit: Move items up one track This for items. For notes, I set this up in MIDI Editor keymap: Down - Edit: Move notes down one semitone Up - Edit: Move notes up one semitone Ctrl+Down - Edit: Move notes down one octave Ctrl+Up - Edit: Move notes up one octave This is fast enough for me.

In the MIDI editor, ctrl+shift+drag will limit the note to one degree of freedom (you can change pitch or time, but not both). This doesn't apply to media items in the arrange view, though.

so (thanks btw.!) it seems that the whole logic of modifier keys needs to be re-thought - as i can find several threads about this topic. for me, it'd be too time consuming to pitch a note (and maybe even copy it at the same time!?!?) 36 semi-notes up (like for a bass slide or a ghost note which is set beyond the "normal" playing range) or nudge an item copy like 20 tracks down. in those cases i really like to work with the mouse.
