This is a dig at Line 6's terrible forum whilst also an acknowledgement (yet again) of what we have here. Each post asking how to do things is met with: -- read the manual (i did, its big, where are you referring to? .... no response) (also people learn in different ways, I learn through conversation) -- why did you fucking buy it -- this thing is the best thing ever, stfu -- you have to change your playing style -- I'm sorry you're such a snowflake and the product won't make coffee for you (I just asked a question!!!) -- You're getting X amount of value in a X package, so dont say anything -- take it back (I dont want to, i just want to see if it works for this one thing) .... my recent HX effects posts have gone over ... quite badly. Crazy cause I love this thing. But apparently I'm an entitled snowflake who just wants everything done for him. Fuck these guys man thank god for this forum - at least when I get shit on here, it's for a damned good reason
Sounds like a large number of immature kids (literally) as far as how those responses sound. Probably comes with the territory if the product is very popular with younger and much larger crowds.
Also, you are probably biased. The Reaper forums has a good community of users. It can be hard to get on at some other forums after spending years discussing over here.

I looked around their forum to see if I could find some examples and/or your posts, but found neither. Only looked at about 4 threads. Those 4 seemed pretty reasonable to me though.
Have you tried the forum below on The Gear Page? It is BY FAR the most helpful that I've found with a hell of a lot of knowledgeable users. Huge HX Effects thread Frank Ritchotte of Line 6 posts on the Gear Page forum daily. He'll bend over backwards to get help anybody in any way he can. Here's a video with Frank discussing HX Effects: If you wind up getting the HELIX, Jason Sadites has the best YouTube channel I've come across. Most of what I know about the HELIX I've learned from him. His specialty is tone matching and posting the patches on 'CustomTone' free of charge. While probably not your cup of tea, my YouTube channel is below with mostly using a HELIX or Kemper for my tone. My biggest beef with YouTube is their normalization process which really reduces the volume on my videos. There's a ton of help out there, but as with everything, you have to weed out all of the B.S.
it could be that I popped up just as one particular user was answering questions. I looked back and saw there was one primary shitstirrer. it's not a big deal, I was just shocked, really. Forums are my safe place from facebook haha

There's plenty of non-beginners using them, myself included. I DO have to say, however, they are masters of marketing and you really have to be careful... which I was with the HX effects - and it has replaced the majority of my pedals....
