I'd say it was much more related to childishness from grown adults and an ever growing need from various "sides" to constantly belittle the others, and then there were folk who just couldn't let something go and always had to stir things up, frankly it was a royal pain in the arse seeing the same bickering over and over again. Not just from those who were banned incidently, there were specific reasons for that from what I recall, but I can't remember what. Can't see there being anything different a second time round tbh.
