I may be able to help with the radio code, but the software is at home (I'm in work!). It is likely that you'll have to take covers off the radio and count resistors.

RE: 960 Gear Ratios

Thanks for that ,, But when you say "Lock Up" you mean its the top gear that trans goes into is only 400RPM drop in revs when it changes? There were some trans that did actualy "Lock Up" in top gear and the Torque Coverter droped out and car became like a manual as far as the drive line went,, I had a MK7 Jag that did that.. Wil check those numbers you gave me and post reply, Cheers Bateye

RE: 960 Gear Ratios

Thats great, thankyou , One question ,, The letter for the year, is that published somewhere, so one can check a cars true year? As for gear ratios,, I will do more acurate testing and see if this car is pulling higher gear that the other one ,, If it is it can only be the final drive diff ratio that is different and all gears will be showing a higher gear, as overall ratio can only be changed with diff,, (and wheel size) OR in my case (God forbid) the speedo and rev counter are out ,, But that not what is indicated so far!! I presume Volvo did have different Diff Ratios available for different models ?? Or were there off the shelf manufacturers that made such things for those diffs, for competition work ? Will post results of tests when done, Cheers Bateye
