Do I really need to upgrade the door locks?

Hello, I've had a good look through various posts and my S60 also suffers from the door unlocking problem. However it only happens on the passenger side, and sometimes all the door lock down ok, sometimes they all stay locked then when I go over a pot hole the passenger side ones pop up, sometimes only one door sometimes 2 doors. Could this be just a loose connection somewhere or will I really have to get them replaced? Cheers, After Eight

Magic locks! 

My Uncle has the same problem with his 2001 y plate v70 estate. If you lock the car the passenger lock closes then reopens...... tried some uem reset by holding up the windows etc etc bou nothing.... guess im going to have to strip that door down!!:censored:

No need to take the door panel off for this, spray lots of WD40 into the hole highlighted (the switch is behind this) i done this and the WD40 started to come out of the drain holes in the bottom of the door so its a good idea to have something to catch the drips :thumbs_up: Mine has been working for 2 weeks now and has not popped up once. Hope this helps.
