hah. I always wondered about this too. I tried to imagine how it could be my own tv set up causing it somehow, because i couldnt see how they could let that slip through so consistently. It does always seem to happen when there is applause happening for about a second, but I know i've heard it for brief moments at other times as well. Always at the end or start of an episode, and only on comedy central. some kind of cross fade messup.

I heard it as well and hypothesized that it was a bad surround mix or broadcast. If you put all the audience in the rear channel it would encode out of phase through the SEU4 and if you bring up the audience abruptly at the bumpers what we are hearing might just happen. Any takers?
