System Indicator goes wacky..

All, I am getting major -9094 error (held off interrupts too long). When I load PT and create a new project, I can add new audio,Midi, and AUx tracks and my System meter doesn't really move at all. Once I add even ONE plugin....doesn't matter whose it is (Digi, Waves, IK) my system meter starts bouncing all over the place....then when I play back it usually stops until with the 9094 error.... What's wrong with my PC? Asus k8v AMD64 3400+ Xp Pro w/Sp1 Dual Seagate SATA hdds PT 6.1.1 Digi 002r Mackie control. Thanks. -S0nguy

Which meter? System, Disk or CPU. If its CPU, it sounds like you have a d-verb inserted. If its System, this is normal if you are using high latency like 0124. At 128 samples, the System meter shopuld hardly move as the CPU is handling all the processing in near real time.

Everyone has seen this. Try 1024 samples and see if you still get the message. Do you have Virus Scan running? Try disabling it. What soundcard do you have on board? SB Live? Disable it.

I wouldn't track in 1024 either. I suggested it as a diagnostic to see if the problem was CPU related. At 1024, the processer is eased and if the errors don't exist at that buffer, then its tweak time. If they still exist, there is a hardware conflict or a plug-in proble.

Hope your not using an Audigy2?, if so you can temp disable it (thru device manager) before starting up PT. This sound card is a major PCI bus hog.

Is the MIDI port like a standard game port?, if it is you might be able to get away with disabling the soundcard (device manager) and still be able to use the midi port, try it anyway then start PT and see if them errors go away, maybe you need to tweak the cards driver somehow.
