Quick Question about my keyboard...

well only a few of them should interfere with PT uses, at least the ones I use regularly. I think there is some info in the Trouble shooting, or getting started threads at the top of the PTLE for Mac page. But I know for sure you can go into System Preferences and click on Dashboard/Expose and switch those around for f9-f13. Also going into Sys. Preferences and then into Spotlight, you will have to change some setting in there if you haven't already... mainly Command+Spacebar to activate spotlight must change otherwise you'll have issues trying to activate recording since command+spacebar is the shortcut for record. Hope this helps, but the best way to learn you mac is to explore. You def made a good choice in switching platforms, IMO... it won't take long before you are trying to convince your friends to make the switch, and then teaching them the ins and out.

RE: Quick Question about my keyboard...

The first 10 f keys on my powerbook have brightness and sound functions as their default settings. You must use the "fn" in the left lower corner to activate the "f" feature of the key. I don't think there is any way to turn this off. The last 4 f keys have default settings that can be changed in system prefs.

In your System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse there should be an option to flip the function of the f-keys.
