S/PDIF delay

I have two questions: 1. When I record from microphone into my DBX376 compressor and use the S/PDIF output into the S/PDIF input of my AudiomediaIII board, there is a small delay when the sound comes back through the headphones. Is there any way to avoid this? 2. I actually have two DBX376 compressors that I would like to send the S/PDIF signal to my AudiomediaIII board but there's only one input on the board. Short of buying a digital mixer, is there an inexpensive way to get both signals into the board? It would be nice to send one to the left and one to the right but I would settle for sending them both to the same side to save money. Thanks, Willson

RE: S/PDIF delay

1. latency. monitor your voice from any available source point before the computer and monitor the other tracks from the computer. 2. the s/pdif i/o on the AMIII is stereo. somebody please correct me if I'm wrong on these points. thanks.

RE: S/PDIF delay

Thanks. Is there any way to combine my two digital sources so I can feed the signal as stereo into the AudiomediaIII board?

Since I don't have one (nor used one) and I don't know if it's possible to use this backwards, but you might be able to. Good luck
