Glyph Firewire drive keeps freezing up my Mac

Hello I'm having major problems with my two glyph firewire drives- the 100 Gig Glyph companion, and 80 Gig Glyph Net drive. Everytime I turn them on, they freeze up my Mac G3 350. Has anyone else experienced problems with these drives? Many say that the problem is with my Mac OS 8.6 I'm running. It was working before, at least only one drive at a time, and running Logic 4.04 and PT 5.0 off these drives. Although I experienced freezing when trying to transfer files from one drive to another. Now it's totally gone wack and freezes up anytime I try to turn on one drive. Please any help would be great, TY.

So I take it PT 5.0 and Mac OS 9.1 aren't compatible? What about PT 5.0 and MAC OS 9.2? How much would an upgrade to 5.1.1 be? Thanks tech support.

Pro Tools 5.0 was not supported on OS 9.1 or higher. It may work but its not tested or supported. The upgrade from 5.0 to 5.11 is $50 and you can purchase the update from the DigiStore. Hope this helps. Mike

Does you guys know where I can update from Mac OS 8.6 to Mac OS 9.04? On apple.com you need OS 9.0 to update to 9.04, but they don't even sell OS 9.0 anymore. The earliest they're doing is OS 9.2. Thanks.
