Considerations from my plugin triage

I did a similar pruning a while ago - have only ~30 plugs that I use now :) But I don't use VSTis so that brings the count down a lot I guess.

Fascinating! And I use pretty much nothing on your recommended list and about 3/4 of those on your dumped list! Goes to show how true it is that his is why there is strawberry AND vanilla! (grin) Interesting reading though and I like how you made your decisions. For myself, I have an inbuilt aversion to anything that looks like an API 500 module...illogical but there ya go.

My guess: The reason the ones you have mentioned are not showing is because you didn't tell Reaper where to look. I have a couple of them and in each case the plugin manufacturer makes his plugin install in its own separate directory, not in your "official" (recognised by Reaper) plugin directory. Add the paths to your missing plugs and re-scan your plugins and you should find more of them working or at least showing up! The only plugs I have problems with are the Waves ones when I forget to insert the iLok!!!

Also, shoot in the dark, if there are different plugins with same dll name one hides all the other ones. - Mario
