Importing OMF

Hi all, We need to import an OMF file, and possible and OMF2 file. Not sure exactly what the latter is. I don't believe ProTools can do this directly. What do I need to do this? Thanks. Best regards, Siegfried Meier

You need the digitranslator. I think it's around $4-500.

OK. Installed the demo for now just to see what it does for us. Where is it? Is it a separate app? I can't find it. Thanks.

If you installed the current version it should have added the ability to import OMF's. With PT open in the file menu import session data (PT6.x). There should be some documentation with it, if not you can download it from the downloads section.
