Hello to all, May be it's a dumb question, but I wondered if you could import an image EDL and translate it as markers. I didn't find anything about that on the DUC , but today a dialog editor showed me that you can do that in a ........DD1500 (using a audio track) That could be a very useful thing. Sorry if this already exists....(may be with AV option...:p) any idea welcome gugu
It's a good idea but I don't think it can be done (at this time). A complaint about the markers in PT is that they fall short of their potential because you can't emport and export them. There are a nomber of functions people would like to see, like being able to import an EDL or list and convert it to markers... Maybe PT6.3.

Markers get exported with .mid files. However, they only get imported into a session that has no markers. ie...if there are existing markers in the session that is imorting the .mid file....markers will be ignored on import. r

What is likely to be more useful would be something like Change Note Assistant or Conformer that could take a picture assemble list and simply do separtions in a guide track. It would not be perfect due to multiple shots in a scene, but would be really helpful when doing BG's or future conforms. charles maynes
I found out (but have not tried it yet) that Titan can regionize a guide track if feed a picture assembly note. I will post my results as soon as I can, which will probably not be too soon. Maybe someone else can give it a go.... cheers, charles maynes
