I have Item Notes visible for tracks... great feature and I appreciate it hugely! I also use it to add my own custom background colors to a track. I have a set of pngs [they are on the stash if you want them] and I use them to color items in a way that remains those exact colors no matter what else you do. In other words, no gradiations, no overlays, etc. Just my exact colors... I like this. OK but the problem is IF you use any image in this way, you no longer get to enter nor see you text notes for that item. See this screenshot.... So I request that some sort of split be made so you can do and see both... see the text notes and ALSO load and use a background image. I think this only makes good sense, no? :)
