Hi, I have read most of the previous posts about which is the best software to use to Burn DVD-R's to enable play back on most or all DVD players. I have been told that Gear Pro and Nero are probably the best to use for compatability. I have tried both these programs and the DVD-R they create will work on my Sony but not on my LG. Anyone had any similar problems and overcome this problem or recomend some software they know will work on my LG. Cheers Bob T. :D
I have had no luck with any software, but RecordNow MAX. My DVD recorder does not support Primo. I burned using both an image made by IFOEdit and just recording the directories using data mode. Mark

The Nero and Roxio find and display the -r disks properly, and can use them for burning the DVD's. The Gear software thinks the same ones are a 8 gig +rw disk. Using XP and ME, both the same results. All the software will find the 105 drive just fine. Any thoughts of this? I could sure use some help. Thanks. Riddler:)
I found my problem, it was a bad Gear 6.0 disk. I have burned using Nero 5.10.0, Gear 6.02, and Stomp, all making good copies. From what I can see all these programs will work if you have everything else right. Stomp is fool proof, and may be the easiest to use however. Good luck mates. Riddler:)
Good to hear you had success. After doing a full DVD rip of The 5th Element with Smartripper 2.41, I tried burning it to DVD with Nero 5.9.x. It worked a treat on my PC DVD players through PowerDVD XP, and my mates Playstation 2, but my new Pioneer DV-355-K didn't want to know about it. I might try updating to 5.10 like you and see if that makes a difference.
Excellent! Just upgraded Nero to 5.10.7b and it works a treat now. One thing I did notice was that it slowed my burn rate to 1X instead of the 2X it was doing.
