I have been submitting music to various licensing opportunities for almost a year. A totally different "biz", so it's been a learning experience. I have been lucky enough to have some fine folks help, some of which are on this forum. Here is the latest collaborative tune...Excuse the lame name, these licensing submissions get named by their target market, so no cool titles. Also, against my normal desires, these submissions almost never get solos.... Forgot to mention that most of mine are instrumentals, except for the few I have been graced with vocals from Sam Dixon. bass is forum member kindafishy, who for whatever reason really loves htis song. I like his taste and choices, so I'll chalk up his enthusiasm as job well done.... What do you all think?

Your mixes will sound different. And yes they are being compressed. It's the type of coding mp3's use that's changing it. I usually lower my tracks by a db or two and back off compression a bit before I upload it to soundcloud.
Kevin tearing that bass up might fine, but I wish I could hear more solidity from it. Prominent yes, but it's not ruling the funk like one would expect. Still a cool solid mix otherwise. Totally love the crazy guitars at the beginning. I have to keep hitting 'replay' just to hear that part again...and again.
I like it. I can picture this in some car commercial. I don't think SoundCloud really ruined it, of course, I haven't heard the original WAV, but it did kind of feel like the arrangement very briefly falls apart at 0:36 and maybe less so again at 2:38 I think. Don't know what you intended there but I would change that. Otherwise, great bass line, rhythm guitar thingie sounds pretty good, too!
Thanks guys. Yup, love this track. Love it. Infected me on first listen and quite a bit of the bass that's here was bouncing around in my head before picking it up and jamming it out. Car commercial, eh? Wouldn't that be so cool? Thanks again so much, Richie, for inviting me in on this. I had a blast.

Yep this pretty damn awesome...with the bass being the highlight. Also love how the guitars sit nice and close- like I'm real close to the amp. I do hate how soundcloud squishes everything but still...mix is good enough to prevail!

Ok y'all. I decided that kindafishy's playing was too awesome to "hide" under all of that silly guitar, keys, and drum garbage. SO I remixed it to finally make it right. Enjoy. And because I am so friendly, I even enabled downloads for this one, so now you can have it on all of your devices..... (This is purely for fun, no malice or bad vibes intended. I am deeply grateful to kindafishy for the awesome bass!)
